We have exciting news for all of the budding artists out there: the Fan Festival 2008 Art Contest prizes have been revealed on the official website! We're proud to announce that the first-place winner in each category will receive a brand-new PC! Don't worry if you were unable to secure a ticket to the event; art contest entries will be accepted regardless of Fan Festival attendance. So get those creative juices flowing and have your masterpiece ready for submission by the November 23rd deadline.

We wanted to remind everyone that Arena season 4 is coming to a close. During next Tuesday's maintenance on November 11th, all arena teams, as well as ratings, will be wiped and arena charter NPCs disabled. However, arena points will persist until the beginning of the next arena season, or until a player reaches level 71. Thus, Arena points will be rewarded for rated games played this week and players will be able to purchase Arena items that do not require a team or personal rating. Upon the close of Arena season 4, players at level 70 will continue to be able to play skirmish Arena matches against other level 70 opponents even after Wrath of the Lich King launches. Arena season 5 is currently scheduled to begin on December 16th, and once that happens players who have reached level 80 will be able to compete in rated arena matches where they can gain arena points which can be used to purchase level 80 arena gear, as well as compete for end-of-season rewards. Players who remain at level 70 after Season 5 begins will only have access to play skirmish arena matches against other level 70 players. However, two new skirmish brackets will be made available (71-75, 76-80) for players who wish to hone their arena skills while leveling in Northrend.

According to the Herald, patch 1.04b lands tomorrow morning. Servers are coming down at 7:00am EST for patching (Oceanic to follow at 9:00am). All servers should be back online by 1:00pm. * When conquered, Keeps will always provide three gold loot bags and Fortresses will now offer six guaranteed gold loot bags as part of the chest loot. * Rally Masters have been added to all warcamps. Now, players can set their rally point in a warcamp in the same manner as binding in a chapter hub. * To promote population balance among the various scenarios, we have added a feature that reduces the number of times a specific scenario can launch in a short period of time. This will give scenarios which are launched less frequently an opportunity to catch up in the queue population and launch more often.

In October tournament news, We Want Cookies [NOW] defeated The Cape Is A Lie [Trim] to become the new champions. For Hero Battles, May's second place competitor Vi Ru edged out Scoutmaster Sihoe to claim the winner's seat for October. We extend our congratulations to all competitors! You can find this month's skill usage charts, GvG results, and 1v1 results. We will be updating the tonic in the Zaishen Chest today. To find out the tonic flavor for November. For those who have placed their bets in the Xunlai Tournament House, tournament reward points will NOT be distributed at this time. Instead, points will be available after the November 13th live update.

Warhammer Online expansion the Rise of the Horned Rat

 

Welcome! Are you waiting on Warhammer Online expansion? If you do, (like me) I got some interesting news! Well we are very close to expansion for our beloved War hammer! Upcoming expansion will be called The Rise of the Horned Rat with new created Third Faction – Skavens. This means we will be able to fight for the glory of the Horned Rat against both Order and Destruction.

Most important stuff!
- Five new Capitol Cities to siege and defend!
- We will be able to discover the ancient High Elf Capitol of Lothern.
- Explore dark Skavenblight, the underground Capitol City of the Skaven.
- Brand new Quests, PQs, Dungeons, and secrets to Unlock!
- Each City pairing has its own unique City Capture Mechanic and play Style!
- New areas like mountain Strongholds of Karak Eight Peaks and Karak-A-Karak, home of the Dwarves and Orcs.
Many changes to our existing classes as well as brand new classes for both Order and Destruction!
After expansion Dwarven beards get longer and Orcs are getting bigger, something new for every race and class!
Multiple levels! Don’t want to keep growing? Shut it off and make your avatar look how YOU want it to look!
New Classes for Destruction and Order – the Dark Elf Assassin and the Empires own Priest of Moor!
A new layer of customization!
Oh and one thing! This is all fake : / we are a group of players and fans doing conception for our own Expansion pack idea.
